Choosing a college roommate can be tough. How do you pick a complete stranger to LIVE with? Luckily with technology, we have ways of communication before move-in day! Here are 32 important questions to ask your potential college roommate.

1. What’s your major?

2. What do you want to do with your degree?

3. Where are you from?

4. Do you play any sports or participate in any school activities?

5. What is your class schedule this semester?

6. Do you plan on working during the semester/year?

7. What kind of TV shows, movies, and music do you like?

8. What time do you go to bed?

9. What time do you wake up?

10. Do you sleep in the dark or with a night light?

11. Do you sleep with a fan or any white noise?

12. Do you study with background noise or music?

13. Do you study in the room or do you prefer to go somewhere else?

14. What do you plan on bringing to our dorm/apartment? (Futon, mini-fridge, microwave, Keurig, rug, full-length mirror, TV, etc.)

15. Are you brining a car?
